Forced labour over Eritrean mines

The situation of human rights in Africa is generally reported to be poor, and it is seen as an area of concern according to the UN. In Eritrea civil librties are viewed as among the worst in the world. They are violated in numerous ways. One of the most cruel is forcing people to work in precarious conditions in mines.
Eritreans are subject to system of forced labour that effectively abuse, exploit and enslave them for indefinite periods of time. How UN can contribute to solving this acute problem?
