Rapid growth of discrimination against Muslims in Europe

Current state of affairs concerning migration in Europe along with violent terrorist attacks emerging throughout the continent has lead to intensification of anti-Muslim mood and has increased incidence of xenophobic behaviour. The percentage of Muslims declaring experiencing discrimination against them on a daily basis – at work, while being provided with healthcare or in public places – is continuing to grow and such violation of basic human rights strengthens the sense of alienation and makes effective integration impossible. In what way may the UN help with improving social situation of Muslims in Europe?
